Belsat Switches to a New Satellite

Belsat TV is switching to a new satellite. The announcement was made by the channel’s head, Alina Koushyk, in a post.

“We have important news. Belsat TV can now be watched through the Svoboda Satellite package.

For many Belarusians, this means a very simple thing: access to independent information without a VPN, without bypassing blocks and without additional risks. This is of great importance.

Until mid-August, Belsat will also remain available on the Astra satellite. After that, however, we will fully switch to Hot Bird 13.0°E,” she wrote.

According to her, Hot Bird covers the whole of Belarus, Europe and parts of neighboring regions, allowing Belarusians both at home and abroad to watch the channel.

The new satellite parameters are:

  • Hot Bird 13.0°E
  • Frequency: 10,949 MHz
  • Vertical polarization
  • SR 27500
  • FEC 2/3
  • DVB-S2 / 8PSK
