Sales of the Belarusian automotive brand BelGee in Russia increased by 61.6% year-on-year to 28,800 vehicles in the first half of the year, according to the latest data from Autostat.
In June, 5,090 vehicles of the Belarusian brand were sold in Russia, up 24.9% from a year earlier.
BelGee’s share of the Russian market stood at 4.38% in June and 4.73% over the first six months of the year.
The BelGee X50+ was among the top 10 best-selling models on the Russian market. In June, 2,681 units of the updated crossover were sold, while sales of the model reached 7,219 vehicles in the first half of the year.
Russia’s new passenger car market grew by 29% year-on-year to 116,300 vehicles in June and by 14.8% to 608,600 vehicles in the first half of the year.
Lada remained the market leader with sales of 152,100 vehicles, down 2.2% from a year earlier. It was followed by HAVAL (84,100), TENET (nearly 64,000), and Geely (36,900).
