The airline Belavia has resumed its charter flight program to Oman. According to Yekaterina Radishevskaya, head of the airline’s marketing and foreign economic relations department, the first flight was fully booked, BelTA reported.
The first flight from Minsk to Salalah departed on the evening of October 23 and was seen off with a ceremony that included a photo zone and refreshments for passengers. In Salalah, the plane was greeted by airport representatives who prepared traditional sweets, coffee, and flowers for the guests.
The flight is operated on a Boeing 737-8 and takes about seven hours. The flight program will run until the end of May 2026. Tours are designed for 9–11 nights. The charter flight consolidator is the travel company Intercity. The estimated cost of a tour package for two people is around $2,500.
Belavia carried out its first charter flight to Salalah in February 2025. The route was launched following agreements between Aleksandr Lukashenko and the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
In early October, Belarus and Oman signed a mutual visa waiver agreement. The airline believes this will have a positive impact on the growth of tourist traffic and flight numbers.
In a few days, Belavia will launch flights to Sri Lanka, and in January — to Thailand.
