The Belarusian segment of YouTube in November 2025 recorded a total of more than 390 million views (in October the figure was also slightly above 390 million). This is stated in an analysis by the Information Policy project published on 1 December.
The study covered 479 channels that met several criteria: activity within the past year, at least 1,000 subscribers, and no less than 20% of the audience coming from Belarus. Over the month, creators uploaded 13,381 videos — these formed the final dataset.
The October listing included 483 channels with more than 16,000 videos.
According to the report, 4,948 videos (37%) were short — under one minute in length. Another 8,433 videos (63%) exceeded 60 seconds (shorts). Videos longer than 180 seconds were highlighted separately, with 5,133 of them recorded (38.4%).
The study notes that 94 channels posted exclusively short videos of up to three minutes. Analysts say that the growth of short-form content remains a stable trend in the Belarusian segment of YouTube.
Experts also link the interest in the video platform to ongoing restrictions on independent media in Belarus, which increase the importance of online platforms as an alternative source of information.
