A Belarusian citizen was carrying clocks and display cases from Poland and chose the green corridor at customs. An expert examination later determined that the items qualified as cultural valuables. The woman now faces administrative liability.
A Volkswagen crossed the Polish-Belarusian border through the Bruzgi border checkpoint. A female passenger declared that she had nothing to declare and chose the green corridor.
During an inspection of the luggage, customs officers found carriage clocks, pocket watches, a bronze bust, metal cases with glass inserts, and other items. An expert examination showed that 11 of the 18 transported items had been manufactured between 50 and 100 years ago and qualified as cultural valuables. Their total value is estimated at approximately €3,000, the State Customs Committee reported.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the woman.
