Smorgon border guards detained a man in a forest in the Astravets District on October 1. He was carrying a drone and components for it, the State Border Committee reports.
During a search of his home, the border guards found a Volkswagen vehicle, weather balloons and radio stations. All the items were seized for examination.
An administrative case has been opened against the detainee for violating the border regime (Part 1, Article 24.19 of the Administrative Offenses Code) and illegal actions involving civilian unmanned aerial vehicles (Part 1, Article 18.38 of the Administrative Offenses Code). The offenses carry a fine of up to 100 base units and confiscation of the drone.
It should be recalled that another Belarusian man with a homemade drone was detained at the Lithuanian border on October 1.
