Belarusian Embassy in North Korea Planned to Open by 1 August

The Belarusian embassy in North Korea will open by 1 August 2026. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn.

“The Council of Ministers resolution ‘On the Opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’ was adopted in implementation of the president’s instruction following the official visit to North Korea on 25-26 March 2026”, the Belarusian government press service said.

The agreement to open a Belarusian embassy in Pyongyang was reached during the visit of Alyaksandr Lukashenka to North Korea. The North Korean embassy in Minsk has been operating since 2016.
