Belarusian Authorities To Release 25 Political Prisoners In Exchange For Sanctions Relief For Lakokraska And Bellesbumprom

Belarusian authorities will release 25 political prisoners, U.S. President’s Special Envoy John Coale said following talks with Aliaksandr Lukashenka in Minsk.

In return, the United States will lift sanctions on Lakokraska and Bellesbumprom.

“As a gesture of goodwill, Belarus will release 25 people. The United States, in turn, will lift sanctions on two Belarusian companies — Lakokraska and Bellesbumprom,” BELTA quoted Coale as saying.
