Applications of Belarusian Alfa-Bank have been removed from the App Store. The financial institution’s press service reported this, citing sanctions as the reason for the removal.
“Just now we received a notification from Apple that our INSNC (as well as the old InSync app) and Alfa Business Mobile 2.0 have been temporarily removed from the App Store. As stated in the notification, this is related to sanctions,” the bank said.
Alfa-Bank advised clients not to delete the apps from their smartphones, as they will not be able to reinstall them, and suggested using the web version of INSNC or the online version of the second app.
“Apps for Android and Huawei remain available in app stores and are operating stably,” the bank added, promising to file appeals.
Sanctions against Alfa-Bank were introduced as part of the European Union’s 19th package of restrictive measures. They came into force on December 2.
