Alyaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree on the creation of a unified state information system for the sale of passenger road transport tickets. The system is expected to become operational by 1 July 2027, his press service reported.
The operator of the system will be the municipal enterprise “Stalichny Transport i Svyaz”. It is planned to be created on the basis of the “Smart City” state digital platform using funds from the innovation fund of the Minsk City Executive Committee. The system will combine existing ticket booking and sales services, including for international transport.
Through the new system, passengers will be able to reserve seats and buy tickets and baggage receipts for suburban, intercity and international bus transport, as well as receive up-to-date information on the schedules of all carriers and choose the optimal route.
“At the same time, no increase in expenses for passenger terminals and road carriers is expected, which means there will be no increase in the cost of tickets and baggage receipts”, the press release said.
The system is expected to ensure transparency in the transport business and provide a digital tool for analysing passenger flows and optimising route networks.
