Belarus to Be Allowed Duty-Free Imports of Broccoli, Eggplants and Peppers

The Eurasian Economic Commission Council has decided to grant tariff exemptions for certain types of vegetables. EAEU countries, including Belarus, will be able to import vegetables duty-free during the off-season period.

Tariff exemptions were granted for imports of:

  • potatoes in volumes of no more than 100,000 tonnes for Kazakhstan and no more than 50,000 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan;
  • onions in volumes of no more than 5,000 tonnes for Armenia and 100,000 tonnes for Kazakhstan;
  • cauliflower and broccoli in volumes of no more than 600 tonnes for Belarus and 500 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan;
  • white cabbage in volumes of no more than 35,000 tonnes for Kazakhstan;
  • carrots in volumes of no more than 30,000 tonnes for Kazakhstan;
  • cucumbers in volumes of no more than 400 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan;
  • eggplants in volumes of no more than 200 tonnes for Belarus, no more than 200 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan and no more than 6,600 tonnes for Russia;
  • sweet peppers in volumes of no more than 5,200 tonnes for Belarus, no more than 2,000 tonnes for Kyrgyzstan and no more than 27,000 tonnes for Russia.

The exemptions will remain in force until 30 June 2026.
