Belarus Seeks To Increase Share Of Domestic Goods In Retail To 58%

Belarus’s Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade aims to increase the share of domestically produced goods in retail turnover to 58%. The target was announced by Deputy Minister Sviatlana Karatkevich.

“In this area, a goal has been set to increase the share of domestic products in retail sales to 58% by 2026. In 2025, the share stood at 54.4%,” she said, as quoted by BelTA.

It should be noted that last year the share of Belarusian goods decreased by 2 percentage points compared to 2024.

According to Karatkevich, achieving the target will require the share of Belarusian fresh vegetables and mushrooms to reach 75.5%.

“According to the strategy, in the off-season of 2026–2027, domestic market supply of cucumbers will reach 128%. Tomato production will increase. Production of leafy greens is planned at around 800 tonnes,” she explained.
