On Aug. 11, Bellegprom held talks with a Myanmar delegation led by Ambassador U Maung Maung Soe and Consul Soe Pye Win. The meeting was attended by Bellegprom Chairman Nadzeya Lazarevich, director of the LEMT Scientific and Technical Center of BelOMO Aliaksei Shkadarevich and a representative of the state protocol service of Belarus’ Foreign Ministry.
The sides discussed an upcoming visit by representatives of Myanmar to BelOMO, during which a new contract on localizing production in Myanmar is planned to be signed.
Belarus and Myanmar also plan to sign a memorandum on promoting and localizing footwear production in Myanmar. The project provides for the construction of a footwear enterprise in Myanmar with the support of Belarusian specialists, Bellegprom’s press service reported.
