Belarus May Receive Migrant Workers From Nepal

https://reform.news/en/belarus-may-receive-migrant-workers-from-nepal/The mechanism for recruiting migrant workers from Nepal to Belarus was discussed on September 26 on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York by Foreign Ministers Maksim Ryzhankou and Shishir Khanal.
“The parties paid particular attention to establishing an effective mechanism for the organized recruitment of Nepalese citizens for employment in Belarus, providing for the protection of their labor and social rights, as well as ensuring their safety”, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The interlocutors agreed to hold interagency consultations on the issue, coordinated by the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The ministers agreed on the need to identify new opportunities for expanding trade and economic cooperation, taking into account the complementary nature of goods produced in the two countries. They also agreed to step up cooperation in tourism and confirmed their interest in strengthening coordination and mutual support at international forums.
Following the meeting, the parties signed an intergovernmental agreement waiving visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and service passports.
