Belarus Introduces Full Extraterritorial Property Registration From March 1

Belarus will introduce full extraterritoriality of property registration starting March 1, the State Property Committee reported. The relevant provision is закреплена in a resolution of the committee that enters into force on that date.

From March 1, applications and documents may be submitted to any territorial organisation for state registration, regardless of the location of the property. All registration procedures will be carried out at the place where the applicant applies.

Previously, full extraterritoriality applied only in Minsk and the Minsk Region. In other regions, under this principle, only documents were accepted and completed paperwork was issued.
