Russia has sharply increased its imports of jet fuel from Belarus amid Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries.
In May 2026, Belarus supplied 5,170 tonnes of jet fuel to Russia, nearly four times the volume delivered in May 2025, RBC reported, citing data from the Price Index Center (PIC).
During the first 10 days of June, Belarus supplied Russia with about 2,600 tonnes of jet fuel.
The Price Index Center described the increase in deliveries as a “one-off operation.”
On June 1, the Russian government introduced a temporary ban on jet fuel exports until November 30. The measure was introduced to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply for the domestic Russian market.
In May, Russia also significantly increased gasoline imports from Belarus. Sales of Belarusian gasoline on the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange rose 26-fold compared with May 2025, reaching 23,640 tonnes.
