Belarus and Algeria to Cooperate in AI, Pharmaceuticals and Agricultural Technologies

Belarus’s Council of Ministers has approved an agreement on cooperation with the Algerian government in scientific research, technological development and innovation. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn, the Belarusian government press service reported.

The document was signed on December 3, 2025, in Algeria during a visit by Aliaksandr Lukashenka. It defines priority areas of cooperation: digital technologies and artificial intelligence, innovative industrial technologies, biological, chemical-pharmaceutical and medical technologies, as well as innovation in the agro-industrial and food sectors.

The agreement provides for the creation of a joint commission on scientific and technological cooperation, implementation of joint projects, exchanges of researchers, experts and postgraduate students, as well as participation in scientific conferences, symposiums and internships.
