Banks Issued 20 Billion Rubles in Loans to Businesses in June

Belarusian banks issued nearly 20 billion Belarusian rubles in loans to legal entities in June, 1.5 billion rubles more than in May, according to data published by the National Bank of Belarus. Compared with the same month last year, lending increased by 13.1%.

During the first six months of the year, the total volume of loans issued to businesses rose by 19.8% compared with the same period last year, reaching nearly 105 billion Belarusian rubles.

Short-term lending in January-June increased by 20.2% year-on-year to 90.48 billion Belarusian rubles, while long-term lending rose by 17.6% to 14.47 billion Belarusian rubles.

Outstanding corporate debt to banks stood at nearly 69.06 billion Belarusian rubles as of July 1. It increased by 816.9 million Belarusian rubles during June and was 13.1% higher than a year earlier.

Outstanding short-term corporate loan debt increased by 1.9% year-on-year to 29.06 billion Belarusian rubles, while long-term corporate loan debt rose by 22.9% to 40 billion Belarusian rubles.

As of July 1, businesses had 416.8 million Belarusian rubles in overdue bank loans. Overdue debt declined by 29.8 million Belarusian rubles during June and was 240.3 million Belarusian rubles lower than on July 1, 2025.
