Another Alleged Russian Spy to Stand Trial in Poland

Polish prosecutors have referred another espionage case to court. Charges have been brought against Polish citizen Viktor Zh.

According to the prosecution, he worked for Russian intelligence, passing it information about the operation of several facilities in Bydgoszcz, including the airport, a military aircraft repair plant, the NITRO-CHEM chemical plant producing explosives, and a NATO training centre. The man is alleged to have cooperated with Russian intelligence from February 28, 2024, to May 30, 2025. He was detained on June 4 last year. The accused remains in custody.
