Academy of Sciences Allowed to Spend Budget Funds on Agricultural Organizations

The National Academy of Sciences will be able to allocate part of its budget funds to support agricultural organizations subordinate to it. This is предусмотрено by Decree No. 102 dated March 24, which was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and enters into force upon publication.

The Academy of Sciences may direct funds from the republican budget, allocated to it for other general state matters, to support agricultural organizations. The permitted areas of spending for such funds have also been defined:

• purchase of fertilizers, seeds, plant protection products, petroleum products, veterinary medicines, protein raw materials, compound feed, spare parts and other goods related to agricultural production, including transportation costs;
• purchase of works (services) for the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment used in agriculture, sampling and laboratory analysis of the quality of seeds, milk and feed, and other works (services) related to agricultural production;
• payment of leasing installments.

The funds will be provided in coordination with the Finance Ministry in amounts not exceeding the actual expenses incurred.

Funds from the centralized fund of the National Academy of Sciences may also be used for the purchase of fuel, raw materials, and supplies.

Personal responsibility for the targeted use of budget funds is assigned to the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences. The State Control Committee will oversee the implementation of the decree.
