Minskenergo commented on a pipeline rupture that occurred today in the area of Zhukouskaha Street in Minsk. The company said the accident was accompanied by a major release of water. Four emergency crews from the Minsk Heat Networks branch were sent to the scene.

By 1:05 p.m., the water release had been stopped and the damage localized. Specialists are now pumping out the water and inspecting the site to determine the exact location of the damage.

Hot water supplies have been restricted in homes on Zhukouskaha, Mahiliou and Voranianskaha streets for the duration of emergency repair work.

The cause of the incident is being investigated.
