A Farm Enterprise Technician In Vitsyebsk Region Faces Up To 10 Years For Stealing Spare Parts For His Own Car

Officers from the Economic Crimes Department in Vitsyebsk Region uncovered systematic theft at one of the region’s agricultural enterprises. The Interior Ministry reported that a 36-year-old machinery repair technician had been stealing spare parts intended for company vehicles for several years and using them to service his own car.

The damage to the enterprise was estimated at more than 20,000 Belarusian rubles. Investigators opened a criminal case over large-scale theft through abuse of official powers. The man faces up to 10 years in prison.

The Interior Ministry said it continues to uncover offenses and crimes in the agro-industrial sector, including during the harvesting campaign.
