Investigative Committee Launches Special Proceedings Against Two Belarusian Citizens

The Investigative Committee has announced the launch of special proceedings against two Belarusian citizens. They have been asked to appear before Investigative Committee authorities in Baranavichy and Minsk.

Special proceedings against Liudmila Zhdanko have been initiated on the following charges:

• Parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code (assisting extremist activity),
• Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official).

Yauhen Shpakouski is accused under the following articles:

• Article 364 of the Criminal Code (violence or threats of violence against an internal affairs officer),
• Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code (insulting Lukashenka),
• Article 369 of the Criminal Code (insulting a government official).
