The prosecutor’s office in Łódź has sent an indictment to court against three Belarusian citizens, a Polish-Ukrainian woman and a Polish citizen.

According to the prosecution, the individuals formed an organised criminal group that profited from organising the production and sale outside Poland of military-purpose products without the required permits and licence. The group was also involved in money laundering. Two people are directly accused of establishing and leading the criminal group.

The investigation was conducted by the Internal Security Agency with the participation of the Military Counterintelligence Service.

The group operated from November 2022 to February 2025. Its members were involved in “the production and trade of military-purpose unmanned aerial vehicles without the necessary permits and licences”. During a search of a workshop used by the suspects, investigators found an advanced production line capable of producing at least 176 drones. It was not disclosed where or to whom the drones were sold.

“According to the findings of the investigation, the drones were manufactured under the guise of conducting legitimate commercial activity and were then illegally offered for sale outside Poland”, the Polish prosecutor’s office said.

During the investigation, the suspects’ assets worth more than 3 million zlotys were frozen.

Two of the accused are being held in custody, while non-custodial preventive measures have been imposed on the others.
