“At present, budget execution is proceeding within the parameters we had set, both in terms of tax revenue and the financing of basic expenditures. These primarily include social spending and everything related to it. Therefore, we will naturally conduct a revised assessment based on budget execution figures for January–September.
However, we can already say today that all the state’s basic obligations will be fulfilled in 2026. We therefore expect the actual deficit of the national budget this year to be lower than the level planned when the budget for this year was adopted,” he said.
As a reminder, revenues for the 2026 national budget were approved at 54.4 billion rubles, while expenditures were set at 58.7 billion rubles. The national budget deficit was approved at 4.3 billion rubles.
The Finance Ministry has not published interim reports on the execution of the national and consolidated budgets for several years, although it previously released them monthly.
