The following rates will apply in November:
- For new fixed-term, irrevocable bank deposits by individuals in Belarusian roubles with a maturity of one to three years: 12.17% per annum (down 0.43 percentage points);
- For new fixed-term, irrevocable bank deposits by individuals in Belarusian roubles with a maturity of more than three years: 14.33% per annum (down 0.17 percentage points);
- For new investment loans to legal entities, excluding preferential loans: 10.07% per annum (down 0.38 percentage points);
- For new loans to legal entities, excluding preferential and investment loans: 11.39% per annum (down 0.4 percentage points);
- For new loans to individuals, excluding preferential loans: 16.94% per annum (down 0.71 percentage points).
Banks that exceed the standard risk rates are subject to stricter regulatory requirements concerning capital adequacy, the creation of special provisions to cover potential losses, and contributions to the mandatory reserve fund. The indicator therefore has an indirect impact on the cost of borrowing in Belarus.
