Belarus has amended the procedure for mandatory state fingerprint registration. The relevant decree was signed by Aliaksandr Lukashenka, his press service reported.

The document was prepared to implement the provisions of the law of February 2, 2026, “On Amendments to Laws on State Fingerprint Registration.”

The decree designates the authorities authorised to issue referrals for fingerprint registration and carry out the procedure for new categories of people subject to mandatory fingerprinting. It also improves information-sharing procedures between government agencies in this area. In addition, the document introduces amendments based on experience with the application of existing regulations.

Decree No. 565 has been revised in full to make its provisions simpler and more accessible to the public.
