Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng on October 28 during his visit to Vietnam.

The sides discussed the schedule of upcoming visits at the highest and senior levels. Ryzhankou handed Lê Minh Hưng an invitation from the Belarusian prime minister to visit Minsk, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.

Lê Minh Hưng confirmed that Vietnamese government agencies intend to implement the agreements reached during the May 2025 visit to Belarus by To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The participants in the meeting stressed the importance of signing a cooperation roadmap for 2027–2029 as soon as possible. They also discussed cooperation in defence and education.

According to the participants, further growth in trade requires a shift towards joint projects. Potential areas of cooperation include producing dairy products from Belarusian raw materials, assembling tractors, and establishing trading houses with exhibition and investment functions in both countries.

The Vietnamese side also expressed interest in Belarusian engineering products, including agricultural machinery, as well as fertilisers. The Belarusian Foreign Ministry said the sides had proposed developing scientific and technical cooperation in these areas.
