Lavrov to Visit Minsk in Early November

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit Minsk on November 2–3 to attend the 4th Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced this at a briefing.

Lavrov will head the Russian delegation and speak at the conference’s plenary session. According to Zakharova, his address will focus in particular on implementing Russia’s initiative to establish a Eurasian security architecture and drafting the Eurasian Charter of Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century.

“In his address, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry will present his current assessment of the military and political situation across Eurasia,” the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

Before visiting Belarus, Lavrov will attend a meeting of G20 foreign ministers in Atlanta on October 30–31.
