Head of Meat Processing Plant in Vitsyebsk Region Detained

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the detention of the head of a meat processing enterprise in the Vitsyebsk Region on suspicion of taking a bribe.

According to the ministry, the 44-year-old resident of Barysau was caught red-handed receiving a bribe.

“The 44-year-old suspect, who managed a meat processing enterprise in the Vitsyebsk Region, ensured that a commercial company won a tender for the provision of transport services for the plant’s needs,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

A criminal case has been opened.

Nasha Niva reports that the case may involve the manager of the Orsha Meat Canning Plant, which was recently transferred under the control of the Agrokombinat Dzerzhinskiy.
