Occupied Kherson Region Seeks to Establish Logistics for Agricultural Machinery Supplies From Belarus

TASS reported this, citing collaborator Vladimir Saldo, whom Russia considers the governor of the occupied part of the Ukrainian region.
According to him, following a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka in September 2025, working contacts were established with Belarus’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food and with manufacturers. The regional authorities collected requests from local farms and are helping them establish direct contacts with manufacturers, select leasing options and organize deliveries.
“We collected the needs of Kherson farms for machinery, spare parts and fertilizers. <…> The region is helping to consolidate demand, establish direct contacts with manufacturers, select leasing instruments and build logistics. Therefore, this involves a series of contracts between farms and suppliers, rather than a single centralized purchase on behalf of the region,” Saldo said.
He noted that this is not a single centralized purchase but a series of contracts between individual farms and suppliers. The authorities of the occupied region also intend to pay particular attention to servicing Belarusian machinery.
“Kherson farmers are now receiving offers from Belarusian enterprises and determining the range of products they need. The final volumes will be determined as contracts are signed. It is crucial for us that affordable spare parts, repairs and servicing come to the region along with the machinery — then the cooperation will benefit farmers for many years,” Saldo said.
According to him, the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation may participate in training specialists for the agro-industrial sector in the occupied part of Kherson region. This includes training personnel for agricultural processing, feed production and modern agro-industrial enterprises.
“Over the past year, we have moved to substantive discussions of areas of cooperation. The experience of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation is of interest to us in training specialists for agricultural processing, feed production and the development of modern agro-industrial enterprises. We are now comparing the corporation’s capabilities with the staffing needs of Kherson region. Training should be linked to actual production facilities and future jobs in the region. Therefore, we are simultaneously holding discussions with enterprises and educational organizations,” he said.
Among the areas of cooperation with the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation, he cited regular exchanges of experience, internships and training specialists in fields that are in demand. The parameters of the joint program are expected to be presented after agreement with the Belarusian side.
