Retail Turnover Up 7.1% Over First Five Months

Retail turnover totalled 44.6 billion rubles in January-May, up 7.1% compared with the same period last year, according to Belstat.

Retail turnover of trading organisations increased by 7.6% to 42.9 billion rubles.

Average daily retail turnover per capita since the beginning of the year amounted to 32.5 rubles, which was 2.6 rubles higher than in January-May 2025.

Wholesale turnover continues to lag behind last year’s level. It declined by 0.6% to 73.9 billion rubles.

Public catering turnover amounted to 3.1 billion rubles, an increase of 0.5% compared with the previous year.
