The National Bank will put several commemorative coins into circulation starting December 31.

One of them is the “Chinese Calendar” coin with a face value of 1,000 rubles. It is made of 999-fineness silver. A total of 500 such coins will be issued.

The unusual shape of the coin draws particular attention. It is 12-sided. The coin also has non-standard dimensions and weight. Its diameter is 160 mm, and its weight is 1,500 grams. The coins are struck in proof quality with partial gilding.
