A 15-year-old girl was killed and three other people were injured in a road accident in the Kobryn district on the P-127 Kobryn–Ukraine Border (Divin) highway. The crash occurred at about 10:50 p.m. on July 9.
A 22-year-old BMW driver lost control of the vehicle after failing to choose a safe speed at the 28th kilometre of the road. The car veered into the left-side ditch and overturned. A 15-year-old female passenger died at the scene. The driver, another 15-year-old passenger and an 18-year-old passenger were taken to hospital.
Investigators intend to assess the incident from a legal standpoint, the Brest Regional Executive Committee’s Department of Internal Affairs said.
