Poland’s Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has published data on insured foreign nationals as of the end of January 2026. The number of Belarusians declined slightly compared with December.
As of the end of January, 138,630 citizens of Belarus were registered in Poland’s social insurance system. Compared with December, the number of Belarusian nationals fell by 100 people.
In total, 1.286 million foreign nationals were registered with ZUS at the end of January. The overall number of insured foreign nationals decreased by 3,000 compared with December.
The largest group of foreign nationals working in Poland continues to be citizens of Ukraine. Nearly 856,400 people were registered with ZUS, down by 600 compared with December. Belarusians rank second. Third place is held by citizens of India, with nearly 25,000 people. Indians moved into third place for the first time, overtaking citizens of Georgia.
