100 MAZ Electric Buses Delivered To St Petersburg

A total of 100 MAZ 303E23 electric buses have arrived in St Petersburg, Russia. This is the largest batch of serial electric buses with overnight charging delivered to Russia, the St Petersburg Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade reported.

The electric bus is equipped with an energy-efficient battery with a range of at least 240 km, allowing it to operate without daytime recharging. All components of the electric buses were produced in Belarus and Russia. A special package was developed for St Petersburg, including a priority traffic system, a driver condition monitoring camera with vibration feedback, and integrated services for payment, navigation and passenger information.

“This project clearly demonstrates that without the development of domestic technologies and competencies it is impossible to create a reliable environment. Each new electric bus produced through the efforts of our enterprises is a contribution to clean air, passenger comfort and the development of the city’s intelligent transport system,” said Aleksandr Sitov, chairman of the committee.
