Zelenskyy: Russia To Deploy Four Ground Drone Control Stations In Belarus

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia plans to deploy four long-range drone ground control stations in Belarus. He made the statement following a report by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, Oleh Ivashchenko.

“We have clear information that Russia is planning further deployment of ground control stations for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles both in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and four stations on the territory of Belarus,” the Ukrainian president said.

Zelenskyy warned that Ukraine would “respond accordingly.”

In December last year, Zelenskyy stated that equipment used to guide Russian drones to targets in Ukraine was being placed in Belarus, including on the roofs of residential buildings. In February this year, Ukraine reported that it had dismantled a communication network used to control Russian Shahed kamikaze drones entering the north of the country from the direction of Belarus.
