Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy plans to meet with US President Donald Trump in New York. He said this following a phone call between the two yesterday.
“We agreed to meet in New York. And this meeting could change a lot. There is diplomatic momentum,” Zelenskyy said.
He also thanked Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for visiting Kyiv.
“There are ideas for de-escalation steps and fundamental security issues — energy, food security and the protection of human lives. We are working together with the American team and are ready to take serious steps,” he added.
According to Zelenskyy, he also thanked Trump for signing the Graham Act on sanctions against Russia.
