Zelensky Holds “Very Positive” Conversation with Witkoff and Kushner

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with representatives of U.S. President Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on the evening of June 8.

Zelensky described the discussion as “very positive.”

“A very positive conversation. I am grateful for the willingness to work as actively as possible in the coming weeks in order to give new momentum to diplomacy aimed at ending Russia’s war against Ukraine.

We understand how much global attention is focused on the situation surrounding Iran. However, our shared goal of achieving peace in Europe remains on the agenda,” Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian president briefed his interlocutors on the mood in Russia and thanked the American side for its “positive assessment of Ukraine’s positions.”
