Investigators have also established a link between the attack in Krak\u00f3w, which left six people dead, and the killing of three people in the town of Ostrowiec \u015awi\u0119tokrzyski.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation was launched on November 8 by the Ma\u0142opolska branch of the National Prosecutor&#8217;s Office&#8217;s Department for Organised Crime and Corruption, which handles cases involving terrorist offences.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation covers two incidents. The first concerns the shooting deaths of six people in Krak\u00f3w and the attempted murder of other people, including police officers.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThis act is classified as a terrorist offence,\u201d<\/i> the National Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of Poland <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PK_GOV_PL\/status\/2119367536441524417?a=A4-Nri434gAhklxuYzI&amp;s=20\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Polish Justice Minister <b>Waldemar \u017burek<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/w_zurek\/status\/2119368985472893393?a=tzzwblAL4GHfY3j0d7k&amp;s=20\">explained<\/a> that, under the legal classification, the attacker acted with the aim of seriously intimidating a large number of people. On this basis, the offence was classified as terrorist in nature.<\/p>\n<p>The second incident concerns the shooting deaths of three people in Ostrowiec \u015awi\u0119tokrzyski on November 7.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cThe available evidence indicates that these acts were committed by the same person,\u201d<\/i> the prosecutor&#8217;s office said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the minister, each of these offences carries a penalty of up to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors are conducting investigative activities in Krak\u00f3w and Ostrowiec \u015awi\u0119tokrzyski, including inspections of the crime scenes.<\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, on November 7, a 24-year-old man opened fire on people at Krak\u00f3w&#8217;s Main Market Square. Six people were killed and another 16 were hospitalized, including two police officers and the suspect himself.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the bodies of the suspect&#8217;s parents and younger sister, all with gunshot wounds, were found at the family&#8217;s home in Ostrowiec \u015awi\u0119tokrzyski.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Polish prosecutors have classified the mass shooting in Krak\u00f3w on November 7 as a terrorist offence.
