MART Steps In"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb-root\"><\/div>\n<p>The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has identified violations in the actions of Minsktrans, a natural monopoly operating in the market for transport terminal services in Minsk.<\/p>\n<p>Minsktrans refused to approve bus schedules for the Minsk\u2013Bia\u0142ystok\u2013Warsaw and Minsk\u2013Vilnius routes operated by carrier Vadjen Trans, and the Minsk\u2013Warsaw route operated by carrier Sandita. Without such approval, the carriers could not obtain permits to operate international services.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cHowever, the carriers\u2019 schedules were not approved, while similar schedules with matching or minimal intervals between departures had previously been approved for other carriers,\u201d<\/i> the ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/mart.gov.by\/news\/novost\/mart-vydano-preduprezhdenie-gp-minsktrans-\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The carriers filed complaints with MART, which reviewed their appeals. The ministry found signs that Minsktrans had violated the laws \u201cOn Natural Monopolies\u201d and \u201cOn Counteracting Monopolistic Activity and Developing Competition\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Warnings were issued to the company.
