Customers at a chain store in Krasnapolle were offered dairy and prepared food products past their expiration dates. The violations were uncovered by the State Control Committee’s Mahiliou <\/span>Region office.<\/p>\n

More than 50 expired items had been gathered in the middle of the sales floor and were being sold at discounts of up to 50%. According<\/a> to the agency, the products had expired between one and 18 days earlier.<\/p>\n

In addition, inspectors found fruit on the shelves showing signs of rot and damaged skins.<\/p>\n

The substandard products were removed from sale. The store manager was denied a bonus by the employer, and the store’s operations were placed under special monitoring.<\/p>\n

Cases involving the sale of expired and substandard goods were also uncovered at chain stores in Krychau.<\/p>\n
