The figures are based on a survey conducted by the Center for Sociological and Marketing Research using a questionnaire developed by the National Bank.<\/p>\n<p>In September, the inflation rate perceived by the public stood at 6.8%, while expected price growth was 6.5%. Both indicators edged up compared with the June survey, when they stood at 6.7% and 6.2%, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>According to Belstat, annual inflation stood at 4.6% in September.<\/p>\n<p>The National Bank also estimated quarterly GDP growth. It stood at 2.9% in July-September, marking a slowdown from 3.2% in the second quarter. According to Belstat, Belarus&#8217;s GDP grew by 2% in January-September.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The main support for economic activity came from an increase in household final consumption expenditure, while investment activity slowed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Growth in consumer demand during the reporting quarter was largely underpinned by positive trends in real wages.
