The People\u2019s Embassies of Belarus <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/PEofBelarus\/1320\">reported<\/a> the case.<\/p>\n<p>In July 2025, the Belarusian family faced the threat of deportation from Sweden. The family contacted the People\u2019s Embassy of Belarus, where it arranged legal assistance with <b>Cecilia Ekman<\/b>, who has repeatedly represented the interests of Belarusian citizens.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2026, the lawyer filed an application citing obstacles to deportation, supported by information about political repression in Belarus. In February, the Swedish Migration Agency agreed to reconsider the case.<\/p>\n<p>It ultimately overturned its original decision and granted the family refugee status.
