A 50-year-old man is suspected of murdering his 35-year-old wife and her 56-year-old mother in Brest. Both women died from stab wounds.<\/p>\n

According to the Belarusian Investigative Committee, which reported<\/a> the incident, the tragedy occurred on the morning of October 28 in an apartment in a multi-storey residential building. During a conflict, the man stabbed the two women.<\/p>\n

An investigative team is working at the scene. Investigators are examining the apartment, documenting evidence and seizing items that may be relevant to the investigation. Forensic examinations are to be ordered.<\/p>\n

The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Brest Region has opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 139 of the Belarusian Criminal Code (murder of two persons). The suspect has been detained, and investigative procedures involving him are under way.<\/p>\n
