The Ministry of Transport said the delivery was part of an import substitution programme.<\/p>\n<p>The covered wagon has a capacity of 152 cubic metres and a payload capacity of 69 tonnes. It is designed to carry individual items, packaged goods, palletised cargo, bulk materials and other freight requiring protection from precipitation.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe launch of production of the covered wagon was preceded by design and development work, including the manufacture of a prototype, testing and certification, and preparations for serial production.
