Interior Minister <b>Ivan Kubrakou<\/b> made the statement at a meeting of the ministry\u2019s board.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cI would like to note that the significant growth in the infrastructure maintained by the Interior Ministry has increased the risk of cyberattacks. Therefore, the set of measures we developed on information security, as well as the establishment of cybersecurity centres within the ministry, have helped meet the requirements of state policy in this area and served as a trigger for preventing significant cyberattacks against departmental information systems and the loss of data,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, there has been an increase in \u201cexternal destructive pressure on the Interior Ministry\u2019s infrastructure.\u201d The number of \u201cthreats from external sources\u201d has risen tenfold.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <b>Uladzimir Zaitsau<\/b>, deputy head of the Interior Ministry\u2019s Department of Finance and Logistics responsible for informatization, communications and information security, particular attention is being paid to maintaining confidentiality, protecting personal data, and ensuring the resilience and reliable operation of departmental resources.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u201cInformation security is currently maintained at the required level, creating the necessary conditions for the internal affairs bodies and the Interior Ministry\u2019s internal troops to carry out their assigned tasks,\u201d<\/i> he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The information infrastructure of the Interior Ministry is expanding, increasing the risk of cyberattacks.
