Lithuanian border guards intercepted two drones carrying cigarette shipments from Belarus. The cigarettes are estimated to be worth \u20ac4,700, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first drone was detected overnight on Friday near the village of Dumbl\u0117. It was forced to land using anti-drone equipment, but could not be located because of darkness and dense fog. The crashed drone was found in the morning, 290 metres from the border. A package containing 100 packs of NZ Gold cigarettes bearing Belarusian excise stamps was attached to it.<\/p>\n

The second drone was intercepted overnight on Sunday near the village of Daugidonys. It crashed approximately 1,050 metres from the border. A package containing 750 packs of Minsk 5 Superslims cigarettes was found next to the drone.<\/p>\n

Both drones sustained serious damage when they crashed. Border guards have initiated two administrative proceedings.<\/p>\n
