Minister of the Interior and Administration <b>Marcin Kierwi\u0144ski<\/b> announced this. According to Poland\u2019s Internal Security Agency (ABW), those detained include a Belarusian woman and Ukrainian nationals.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe services have dismantled an international group involved in laundering money obtained through investment and cryptocurrency fraud. Nine people were detained, and the total value of transactions exceeded 337 million zlotys (approximately $87 million \u2014 Reform.news note). Gold and cash worth more than 1 million zlotys (nearly $260,000 \u2014 Reform.news note) were seized,\u201d<\/em> the minister said.<\/p>\n<p>According to an ABW statement, those detained include eight Ukrainian nationals \u2014 three women and five men \u2014 as well as a Belarusian woman.<\/p>\n<p>According to Polish law enforcement, the group was led by a 34-year-old Ukrainian national. He made key decisions and controlled the domestic and international movement of funds obtained from illegal sources. The money was laundered through currency exchanges and fictitious gold purchases.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects were detained in Warsaw, \u0141\u00f3d\u017a and the Ma\u0142opolskie Voivodeship.<\/p>\n<p>By court order, six suspects were remanded in custody for three months and one for two months. Two others were released on bail. They remain under police supervision and are prohibited from leaving the country.
