Both began operating in October.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The opening of two new embassies is the result of Belarus&#8217;s deliberate policy of strengthening its presence in countries of the &#8216;far arc.&#8217; The work of Belarusian diplomatic missions abroad will focus on further developing mutually beneficial relations with North Korea and Myanmar,&#8221;<\/em> the Belarusian Foreign Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mfa.gov.by\/press\/news_mfa\/a6387434c57eb64d.html\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The decisions to open embassies in Pyongyang and Naypyidaw were made following talks between Aliaksandr Lukashenka and the leaders of the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea&#8217;s embassy in Belarus has been operating since 2016, while <a href=\"https:\/\/reform.news\/en\/myanmar-embassy-opens-in-minsk\">Myanmar&#8217;s embassy opened<\/a> this year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Belarus has officially opened embassies in North Korea and Myanmar.
